Ta-dah – here is one of our hen party quilts from the summer. This group of lovely ladies came from afar – Brighton, London and Australia to make this quilt. The party was held at QP, and they bought some lovely goodies along – home made macaroons and cupcakes from the Hummingbird Bakery. Isa chose the grey spot for the sashing, and red dotty binding – they fit in really well with the colours used. The quilt was finished by me, and the quilting done my my long arm colleague Carolyn.
one of the squares…
and another of the squares…
Isa emailed me and Lisa, who organised the party, a lovely photo of the quilt over the sofa at home… with the following message:
“Just wanted to send you a mail saying how much I love the quilt! The workmanship on it (not just the squares!) is just amazing. It’s currently got pride of place on our sofa :)”
“Thank you guys so much for organising this, it was such a lovely afternoon and idea.. and is still only one of the two things I cried about during the whole wedding palooza period – the other one being when the flowers turned up. Not during the ceremony or anything.. just quilts and flowers made me cry :)”
Thanks Isa – congratulations to you and your husband, and hope you enjoy the quilt.
