…of course you do, otherwise you wouldn’t be here reading this!
Love Patchwork and Quilting is a new magazine from the publishers of Mollie Makes, and has the same strengths – pretty pictures, good styling, variety of content, but has a modern patchworky look. The first issue, Spring 2013 sold out really quickly, followed by the Autumn 2013 one which yours truly is in. It came out at the beginning of August, and should be on sale till the end of this month. I checked at the weekend and WHSmith in Brighton, and George Street Hove still have a few copies in.
I was lucky enough to be interviewed in it. The questions I was asked were really good, for example trends in what fabrics people are buying, why I only open on Thursdays and how the business has changed over the last 3 years.
There is also the blooming flowers quilt pattern from my book. This is made as a super sized quilt as you go – each section is 1m square, quilted, then out together. It can be a bit fiddly joining the quarters together, but not as fiddly as trying to baste something this size in a tiny flat. It was designed as a response of hearing people were not making large quilts due to not having enough space. I love the way it turned out – the squares are made from vintage sheets.
