We have a couple of spaces left on our Vintage Embroidery course which is running this Sunday afternoon.
I have slowly fallen in love with embroidery over the last few years. It is portable, great for personalising bought items as well as handmade items and is fairly inexpensive to do – essentially you just need thread, fabric, perhaps a making tool and off you go.
Our tutor Cassie is a textile designer and dress-maker who works primarily in vintage patterns and fabrics and has had a long interest in embroidery. At the workshop students are shown a variety of stitches that can then be made into an item such as a lavender bag or a Peter Pan collar.

Hand Embroidery with Cassie Sunday 2nd July 1.00 till 5.30 pm
Learn some basic embroidery techniques and stitch some vintage motifs. When you feel confident you will then create a design and embroider it onto a piece of fabric which can be made into an item such as a cushion or lavender bag, or make a Peter Pan collar. This should be a relaxing afternoon and is suitable for beginners – small group ensures individual attention.
